In Honor of Our Brother in Christ

Frank Levon DeLee, age 68 entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 30, 2026. Born on March 18, 1958, in Ty Ty Georgia to Frank and Louise, Levon lived a life marked by faith, family, friendship, and service to others.

As a teenager, Levon accepted Jesus Christ as is savior and later answered God’s call into ministry during the early 1980s. Throughout his life, his faith remained the foundation upon which he built everything else. He pastored two churches, participated in jail ministry and bus ministry and poured himself into the lives of others. He loved his church family and held a great admiration for his early on pastor, the Reverend Clifford DeLee, whose influence helped shape his spiritual journey.

Levon was a man who loved wholeheartedly and cared deeply for people. He served as a mentor, encourager, and example of Christian faithfulness to many whose lives are forever impacted by his kindness and wisdom. He invested his life into the service of others, always ready to help with anything for anyone.     Early in life he worked at West Point Pepperell and Avondale Mill. He became a security guard at one point and later in life he continued his service to others by working at a Senior Center assisting with the elderly and delivering “Meals on Wheels” to those people who were in need and were homebound.

Some of Levon’s fondest memories came from time spent with his father. As a young man he loved working on cars alongside him and enjoyed rabbit hunting together. Throughout his life he carried a passion for sports. He was an avid softball player and could often be found playing on church leagues and work teams with friends. Later he found great joy in coaching his grandchildren and cheering them on from the sidelines. When he wasn’t participating, he was watching. He loved hanging out with his son Randall watching wrestling, attending matches, cheering on the Atlanta Braves, or passionately supporting Alabama football. His enthusiastic cry of “Roll Tide” was well known among family and friends.

But more than anything, his greatest ministry and treasure was his family. He was affectionately known as “Daddy” or “PaPa”, and from many nieces and nephews, “Bubba” and “Uncle Bon”. His most enduring nickname “My Honey” came from the one who knew him best.

For fifty-one years, he shared his life with the love of his life, Cindy. Fifty-one years of laughter, tears, victories, challenges, faith, and unwavering devotion. Fifty-one years of choosing each other through the good days, hard days, and raising children, and welcoming grandchildren, building a life and walking faithfully together. This was his greatest source of pride and joy.

He loved his children Randall and his daughter Melissa, and he welcomed Melissa’s husband Trent into the family with that same generous heart. He adored his grandchildren, Christian, Trenton, Kaitlyn, and Nate and nothing brought a bigger smile to his face than spending time with them. Later came ten great grandchildren, each one another blessing added to a life already overflowing with love.

He was “Brother” to Jimmy who proceeds him in death. To his sister Rita and her husband Robert, and to his sister Connie who was the baby of the family.

He loved his family

He loved his church

loved his friends

He loved People

One of the most beautiful descriptions of Levon came from his daughter Melissa, who said:

“He Loved Big, he loved long, and he loved you"

Those simple words capture his life better than anything else we could say today. He loved Big, his heart was open to everyone.

He loved long. He stayed faithful to God, faithful to Cindy, faithful to family, and faithful to friends. And he loved YOU. Whether you were family, church family, friend, or someone he just met, he had a way of making you feel valued and important. He gave us something so rare and valuable, his Time. Levon will be remembered for the love he shared, the faith he lived, and the countless lives he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion to God, unwavering love for his family, and a lifetime of friendships that will continue to bear fruit for generations to come. Though our hearts grieve his absence, we rejoice in the assurance that he has heard the words every faithful believer long to hear: “Well done, good and faithful servant”

His race is finished, his faith has become sight, and he now rests in the eternal presence of the Savior he so faithfully loved and served throughout his life. He was deeply loved and is forever woven into the hearts of so many lives.

Thank you, Levon, for the example you set, the faith you shared, and the love you gave so freely. Until we meet again, we will carry your memory in our hearts, and we will never forget that you loved us immensely.
